Help Lebanese Femme Creatives, Healers and Community Leaders Continue Their Work
The heart-child of Lebanese medicine woman Maya Abou Chedid, The Muse Podcast is an educational project centered on community-building and collective liberation. The antithesis of pop and bypassing New Age spirituality, it is a non-linear, non-hierarchical, decolonial, and anti-capitalist effort that seeks to reverently explore Levantine and other ancestral and indigenous wisdom. The goal is to listen, learn, and shed light on subjects related to healing and breaking cycles of trauma that are not as commonly discussed, especially in the Levant.
It does this by inviting personal storytelling, witnessing, and dialogue among community members and students and practitioners of modalities who exist on the fringe, quietly outside the glare of pop spirituality. It also seeks to do this while based in one of the culturally richest, but politically and financially most fraught regions in the world which is currently experiencing multiple compounding crises.

The Muse Podcast Mission Statement:
We come from a land that serves a variety of meze and main
dishes on a table shared by many. For hours, the food is served, chewed and swallowed with stories of war and a sip of Arak in between.
We come from a land our hearts love and our minds tried to forget.
A whole history, including the wars but also the tradition, the cultural heritage and the blessing and grace of this land.
Our bodies still remember.
We can’t move forward without remembering where we come from.
The Muse Podcast was slowly brought to life by Maya Abou Chedid, a passionate scientist, loving medicine woman and an ongoing yogi and yoga instructor and healing artist. It is slowly growing with the help of amazing women who are in resonance with this calling.
The Muse Podcast bridges Science & Spirituality by hosting experts from both worlds who, in their life experience, have touched the sacred in very challenging situations, locations and circumstances only to refine their way of being and living with the earth and relay their own gifts in different fields of the shifting social paradigm.
The Muse Podcast talks to the human being, to the land that echoes from the bones and bestows awe and respect to every culture still carrying the wisdom of living in harmony with nature and each other.
Our ethos is to remember the ancient ways of being and living in symbiosis with the natural world.
By remembering, we learn from the ones who came before us and plant seeds to nourish, grow and pass to future generations.
Our intention is to muse the souls, inspire the minds and uplift the spirit of human beings who chose to listen to the guidance and the wisdom of the elders from the past and the future.
Our dream is to grow to touch more souls, inspire more minds and uplift more hearts.
And there is more...
Lebanon has been experiencing a large-scale multi-dimensional financial crisis since 2019, including a banking collapse, liquidity crisis, and a sovereign default. The inflation rate is still very high, currently at 41.80%. To add to the turmoil and destabilization, it is a regular target of violence in the region. The effect on one’s coffers, psyche, and body is immense.
Help us resource and heal, so we can invite others to resource and heal.
Our fundraising goal to stabilize and grow The Muse Podcast for one year is €35,000.
This amount will be used for:
*Basic equipment/software
*Compensating regular and one-off specialists such as a social media expert, moderators, translators (English, French, Arabic), a marketing strategist
*Core team support so that we can keep The Muse Podcast going with our time and energy, working online to facilitate and optimize the quality of conversations, and working with public need such as answering questions from the community and advising members
Please help us reach our goal in four phases:
€10,000 by August 31, 2024
€10,000 by September 30, 2024
€10,000 by October 31, 2024
€5,000 by November 30, 2024
Levantine women, Levantine people, deserve to not just survive, but thrive. When they do, everyone benefits immensely.
